“I find all aspects of general dentistry rewarding and seek to provide high-quality care to my patients in a relaxed environment, as I understand going to the dentist can make many people feel anxious.”

A Strong Scientific Foundation

Dr Chandrama graduated from UWA with a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Neuroscience before achieving her Doctor of Dental Medicine, also from UWA. Her deep interest in how the brain and body connect continues to influence her dental philosophy – particularly her belief that oral health plays a critical role in overall wellbeing.

While completing her dental degree, Dr Chandrama also took an active interest in research, focusing on the relationship between oral nutritional supplements and dental caries in head and neck cancer patients. Her research article was published in 2021, highlighting her early commitment to exploring how oral health impacts overall health.

Clinical Strength Across the Board

After graduating, Dr Chandrama gained hands-on experience in private practice throughout the Perth metro area, where she honed her skills across a broad range of treatments. She enjoys all aspects of general dentistry and has a particular interest in restorative, aesthetic, prosthodontic and surgical work, including extractions. Her clinical interests reflect a strong technical foundation and a desire to restore not just teeth, but function and confidence.

Committed to Growth and Innovation

Dr Chandrama is passionate about staying at the forefront of dental advancements for the benefit of her patients. She has completed multiple advanced courses in restorative dentistry, endodontics, and prosthodontics, organised by ADAWA and internationally recognised experts.

She also regularly attends major professional conferences, including the prestigious FDI World Dental Congress in Sydney (2023) and IDEM in Singapore (2024), keeping her connected to the latest global innovations in dental care.

Taking a Patient-Centred Approach

At all times, Dr Chandrama’s number one mission is to listen to her patients, make them as comfortable as possible, and connect with them so they can create an optimum oral health plan and a happy smile. She knows that for many, visiting the dentist can be a nerve-wracking experience – and she works hard to ease that anxiety from the very first visit.

In Her Spare Time

Outside of dentistry, Dr Chandrama enjoys reading, travelling, and spending time with her family and friends.
